SHAG X CLASE AZUL TEQUILA

This marketing campaign was conceptualized with the intention to facilitate a collaboration between the Clase Azul Tequila Brand and the artist Josh Agle (AKA SHAG). I wanted to create a collaboration that allowed for both brands to maintain their individual brand identities, while also complimenting and highlighting specific aspects of the identity that are not often focused on. The collaboration is playful, striking and innovative while remaining consistent and visually cohesive.

To create a cohesive advertising campaign for the product of your choosing utilizing artwork from a well-known painter from any century. To make the product appear as if it is a part of the original painting with color, texture, and lighting or to incorporate the product into the design in a coherent and creative way.

  • Individuals ages 21+ who enjoy tequila, this campaign would also appeal strongly to those who are fans of the artist Josh Agle (Shag).

  • I wanted to create an advertising campaign that celebrated the uniqueness of the Clase Azul brand identity while incorporating a new angle that I felt expanded on and complimented this visual identity while still being recognizable.

  • To create a striking, cohesive, innovative and playful marketing campaign that highlighted the personality of both separate brand identities while complimenting one another in the collaboration. I wanted to ensure that the Clase Azul bottles fit seamlessly into the shag paintings while still popping and drawing visual attention. I also wanted to ensure that the most recognizable characteristics of each brand remained while still being integrated into one another seamlessly.

  • I decided to create an advertising campaign for Clase Azul tequila because I enjoy the consistency and unique brand identity that they have developed and convey through their elegant yet playful packaging and bottles. I chose to incorporate this product into artwork by Shag because I felt as though the aesthetic of this artist as a whole complemented the Clase Azul brand identity while emphasizing the celebratory, exclusive and whimsical nature of the product. I chose these pieces by Shag specifically due to their bold, striking composition which draws the viewer in while still being cohesive and effective.

  • In order to place the visual emphasis onto the product itself, I decided to integrate the bottles directly into the artwork in a manner that makes it appear as though the individuals in the artwork are interacting with the product. I felt as though this integration allowed for the viewers focus to be placed onto the product seamlessly without taking away from the art itself. I chose to include artwork by Shag that ranges across collections as I felt as though the variance in color and location added visual interest while highlighting the central aspect that is consistent throughout the advertisements- the product itself.
