CREATIVE DIRECTION & DESIGN- ORIGINAL BRAND IDENTITY & EDITORIAL PRINT DESIGN

GRAD STUDENT – UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA BERKELEY EXTENSION GRAPHIC DESIGN (FULL-TIME)

This project presents an original quarterly editorial magazine concept designed to showcase vintage cars through the lens of various photographers—primarily on film. I envisioned the magazine as a collector’s item that would appeal to a broader artistic audience than a traditional car publication, while still offering valuable information and captivating advertisements that uphold the elegant, chic, concise, and exclusive spirit of Speed. I combined carefully curated film photography with elevated, vintage-inspired typography, editorial layouts, and a retro color palette to create a cohesive visual identity that feels both dynamic and innovative. After establishing a comprehensive editorial brand identity—including the masthead/logo, color palette, imagery, and typography—I designed multiple volumes of the publication, featuring covers, spines, and interior spreads that exemplify its distinctive visual language.
